Simple Shoulder, Ankle, & Wrist Mobilizations

Here are the individual instructions, broken out and formatted for each exercise video:

Shoulder Posterior Glide Mobilization

  1. Take the arm you want to work on and place that hand on your opposite shoulder.
  2. Use your other hand to hook around your elbow.
  3. Gently pull your arm across your body until you feel a stretch.
  4. Then, apply a light inward and slightly diagonal push on the elbow to deepen the stretch in the back of the shoulder.
  5. Hold for a few seconds.
  6. Repeat 10 times.
Note: If it feels painful, stop and consult your physical therapist.

Ankle Mobilization at the Wall

  1. Stand facing a wall, about a hand’s width away.
  2. Step one foot forward, keeping the heel flat on the ground.
  3. Slowly bend your front knee toward the wall until you feel a stretch in your ankle or calf.
  4. Return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat this motion 10 times.
Tip: Use slow, controlled movement—no bouncing.

Wrist Flexion Mobilization

  1. Rest your forearm on a table, palm down, with your wrist just past the edge.
  2. Allow your hand to gently drop below the table edge.
  3. Use your other hand to apply light pressure into the knuckles to deepen the stretch.
  4. Return to the neutral position.
  5. Repeat for 10 smooth reps.
Reminder: You should feel a stretch—never sharp pain.
